Home remedies for the conjunctivitis

Conjunctivitis, known also as the redness of the eyes, is inflammation or infection of the thin membrane (conjunctiva) covering the whites of the eyes and eyelids inside.

The conjunctiva is irritated, and the tiny blood vessels that compose dilate to remove toxic substances and bring protective antibodies to the surface of the eye.Therefore the eye acquires a red or pink color.

The symptoms are:

1 Constant itching or burning.

2. Extreme sensitivity to light, and tearing.

3 Redness of the eye and its surface may swell.

4 Secretion aqueous, mucous or, in the case of a bacterial infection, a thick oozing out of the eyes (in the morning the eyes seem to be closed with glue).

Conjunctivitis may occur for:

1. Associated with colds, herpes simplex virus infections.

2. Infections with bacteria infected by contact between the hand and the eye to touch anything that has been in contact with an infectious substance.

3. Foreign bodies falling beneath the eyelids.

4. Exposure to ultraviolet light.

5 Allergies caused by cosmetic products or solutions that are used to clean contact lenses.

Popular home remedies:

5 Applying a warm poultice of cooked apples, raw potatoes or grated cucumbers wrapped in cloth.

To prevent it we recommend:

1. Not to touch objects which have been utiizado by someone with conjunctivitis.
